Considering the present scenario of the society there are many disturbing facts to be observed in the field of health services. As we are all aware, the arrival of this very year 2020 came with the COVID 19 crisis, claimed to be a pandemic by the WHO. The terror of this Corona virus has posed a new challenge to the entire humanity compelling us to be bounded within the modified health guidelines contending of social distancing, sanitization etc.
With the awake of this unknown, unprecedented crisis the state of West Bengal has faced the sudden and mass resignation of the professional nurses from different hospitals in the state. Remarkably most of these resigning nurses had their native places in other states and most probably the uncertainty due to the COVID 19 crisis made them bound to go back to their native places.
The statistics of availability of properly trained human resources in the field of public health services have always been showing drastically falling graph in the number of nursing personnel since the last few years.
