After completion of the course students will have the opportunity to work as staff nurse at the parent hospital as well as they will be eligible to apply for Govt. post for staff nurse. They will be also eligible to apply for job in any other state other than west Bengal. Regarding higher education, the students can pursue M.Sc. Nursing in any specialty area, nurse practitioner’s course and subsequently may pursue PHD in nursing.
After completion of GNM course successful candidates can apply for staff nurses job in parent hospital as well as in any other hospital in the country. After having 2 years of experience as staff nurse, they can apply for post basic B.Sc. course nursing in any of the nursing college, and after gaining post basic B.Sc. Nursing qualification they can apply for M.Sc. nursing for any special field in nursing.
